The Naan Mudhalvan Program was implemented successfully by the Naan Mudhalvan team under the headship of Ms. A. Uma Maheswari, HOD, Department of Psychology who is identified as the Single Point of Contact for the Naan  Mudhalvan Program at Hindustan College of Arts & Science.    The key to the success of this program lies in confidence and moral support extended by the management dignitaries Director, Dr. Susan Verghese, Deputy Director Dr. V.J. Philip, Principal Dr. S. Thirumagan, Vice Principals Dr. S. Illanjiam (A&R), and Mr. Samuel Sampath Kumar (Admin).  The cooperation and coordination extended by the Deans, HODs, and the teaching and non-teaching faculty in the successful execution of the program at HCAS deserve special mention.

Naan Mudhalvan Program at Hindustan College of Arts & Science

Naan Mudhalvan scheme is a skilling and upskilling initiative launched by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The program aims to provide skill development training to young students across the state, with a vision to benefit a minimum of 10 lakh students every year.  The scheme focuses on bridging the skill gap among students and preparing them for employability, by offering training programs in various sectors such as healthcare, tourism, hospitality, agriculture, and more. The program aims to enhance the employability of the youth and support the economic growth of the state.  The Naan Mudhalvan scheme also provides guidance and mentorship to talented and bright students, helping them excel in their chosen field of interest. The initiative is aligned with the government's efforts towards promoting skill development and creating a future-ready workforce in Tamil Nadu.

The inclusion of the Cambridge English course under the Naan Mudhalvan Scheme is a commendable initiative by the Government of Tamil Nadu towards promoting skill development and employability among the youth in the state.  The guidance provided by the English Department staff members can prove to be extremely beneficial for the first year UG students at HCAS in terms of learning and enhancing their language skills.
